about

Hi, I’m Luka Ćurin, the person behind Curin Guitars. I was born and raised in Split, Croatia, a city once known for its deep love of music and small craftsmanship. My journey into guitar building wasn’t exactly conventional—or safe. After earning a degree from the Faculty of Economics, I spent years working in aftersales and engineering for boat-building companies. But no matter how stable the career seemed, I couldn’t ignore the feeling that I was in the wrong place.

My love for guitars started early when I played as a kid in elementary school. I put the instrument aside for years, but during college, I rediscovered it—this time falling for not just the sound but the culture, aesthetics, and stories guitars carry. Even before I started playing again, I was fascinated by their design.

I didn’t have a history of guitar craftsmanship or carpentry in my family, but I didn’t let that stop me. I started small, ordering parts and assembling “partscasters” for friends. Three years ago, I took a leap of faith, leaving my job to pursue guitar building full-time. It wasn’t easy—my first guitar was far from perfect—but it was a beginning. I poured everything I had into learning, designing, and refining my craft.

Today, I run a small workshop near Split, where I and my small team handcraft guitars that blend unique aesthetics, vintage-inspired designs, and exceptional playability. Every instrument is a labor of love, built with the same passion and risk-taking spirit that got me here.

If you’re looking for a guitar that tells a story—your story—I’d love to hear from you. Let’s create something truly one-of-a-kind together.
